PURE AIR HAIR SPRAY

You don’t have to hold your breath while using this toxin-free hair spray!

1 cup distilled water

1 tablespoon organic, Fair Trade granulated sugar or coconut sugar

25 drops essential oils (see Note)

SUPPLIES

Small saucepan

Whisk

Glass spray misting bottle

1. Bring the water to a simmer, then remove from heat.

2. Add the sugar and whisk until completely dissolved.

3. Allow the mixture to cool before adding the essential oils.

4. Store in a glass spray bottle with a fine mister.

5. Shake before each use to distribute the oils, as they will separate.

Note: Many essential oils can increase your photosensitivity, so they should be used with caution. If you plan on spending all day in the sun, you shouldn’t use the potentially phototoxic oils listed in chapter 2 (this page) as the skin on your scalp can get sunburned, particularly if you are balding or have thinning hair.
